Ajibola Falaye

Ajibola Falaye (Ph.D. Ibadan) is a trained Counselling and Developmental Psychologist. As a trained counsellor, her specialisation is in the area of counselling at the different life stages. Her focus of research is on child and adolescent development and professional focus on the development of intervention packages, assessment, diagnosis, and the application of appropriate remediation therapies such as Behaviour therapies, Cognitive Behaviour Therapies (CBT) as well as Rational-Emotive Therapy (RET) and such as appropriate for child and adolescent mental health and behavioural problems.

She has served professionally in school settings as supervisor of counselling services as well as serving as visiting counselling psychologist to health centres in Ogun State, Nigeria. These have over the years afforded her the opportunity to facilitate counselling interactions with clients with problems and challenges with varied backgrounds and settings.  She is the progenitor of the Olubi Sodipo Counselling Centre of the Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago- Iwoye.) Professor Falaye is actively involved in the training of professional child and adolescent counselling psychologists.
