Adebayo Adejumo

Adebayo Adejumo, RN, MHSc, PhD, FWACN is a Clinical and Developmental Psychologist based in the Department of Psychology, University of Ibadan.  He holds a BSc degree in Nursing, after which he bagged Masters and Doctorate degrees in Psychology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

He also attended the Joint Centre for Bioethics, Institute of Medicine, University of Toronto, Canada where he obtained a Master in Health Science with specialization in Bioethics through a NIH -Fogarty scholarship in 2004/05. During his MHSc course, he had his attachment training at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), University of Toronto. Dr. Adejumo completed an internship at the Bioethics Department, Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, USA in 2015.

He was a member of the Technical Committee that developed the historic National Code of Health Research Ethics, and also a member of the National Health Research Ethics Committee of Nigeria since 2006, and also a pioneer member of the Social Sciences and Humanities Ethics Committee, of the University of Ibadan. He has interest in psychological health issues across lifespans, as well as research and clinical ethics.
